What is being provided

One to one teaching in mathematics, physics and space exploration, delivered online by the founder personally. Classes are not delegated to anyone else. Where a programme includes written progress reports, those are provided every two weeks.

Fees

Fees are quoted per programme and are published on the programmes page. Families outside the United States are invoiced in their own currency at the rate shown at the time of invoicing. Fees are not increased during a programme that has already begun.

Scheduling and cancellation

• Your timetable is confirmed within twelve hours of payment.
• A class cancelled with at least twenty four hours' notice is rescheduled at no charge.
• A class cancelled with less notice is rescheduled where the calendar allows, and I will always try. Repeated late cancellation is a conversation, not a penalty.
• If I cancel, the class is rescheduled or refunded, whichever you prefer.

Refunds

Tell me and we stop. Unused classes are refunded in full, at any point. There is no notice period, no administrative fee and no argument. A family that no longer wants to be here should not be here.

What I ask of you

• A quiet place and a working connection at the agreed time.
• Honesty about what is not working. I cannot fix what I am not told.
• Understanding that progress is not linear, and that a fortnightly report which contains bad news is doing its job.

What I will not promise

No grade is guaranteed. Any educator who guarantees one is either lucky or selecting students who did not need them. What is guaranteed is the standard of the teaching, the honesty of the reporting, and that you can leave at any time.

Capacity

There is one engineer and a finite number of hours in a week. Places on the year long programmes are limited by arithmetic rather than by marketing. If a programme is full I will tell you so rather than take the payment.

Intellectual property

Materials written for your child are yours to keep and to use. They are not to be redistributed or resold. The Practice Engine is free to use and requires no payment at any point.
