Programmes & Pricing

Curriculum-specific tutoring, priced transparently.

Every programme is built around the exam your child is sitting, the board they're sitting it with, and the result you've agreed on the assessment call. No generic worksheets, no off-the-shelf curriculum.

Ages 6–13

Primary & Lower Secondary

Grades 1–8 across UK National Curriculum, US Common Core and IB MYP. Designed to build confidence and curiosity at the age when both can be lost very quickly.

What we cover

Place value, fractions, decimals, ratio & proportion, early algebra, geometry, problem-solving, mental maths fluency.

How sessions work

45–60 minute lessons. Interactive whiteboard, light gamification, take-home practice tuned to the child's pace.

What parents get

Fortnightly written progress notes and an end-of-term confidence report. School liaison available on request.

Outcomes

Most students reach "working above expected level" within one school term, with measurably less anxiety around homework.

Ages 14–16

GCSE & IGCSE Mathematics

Edexcel, AQA, OCR and Cambridge International (CIE 0580 / 0606). Higher Tier preparation for grades 7–9 and Additional Mathematics.

Exam focus

Full syllabus coverage with weekly past-paper drilling. Topic-by-topic mark-scheme decoding so "show your working" means the right things.

Additional Maths (0606)

Bridge programme to A-Level. Calculus foundations, advanced trig, kinematics — all taught in context of the IGCSE 0606 paper.

Mock exam reviews

Quarterly timed papers, marked to the actual board's standard, with a written diagnostic.

Outcomes

Average improvement of 2+ grade bands over a full academic year. 90%+ of GCSE students achieve grade 7 or above.

DP Years 1 & 2

IB Mathematics — AA & AI

Standard and Higher Level coverage for Analysis & Approaches and Applications & Interpretation. Plus full Internal Assessment (IA) supervision.

Paper 1, 2 & 3

Concept-led teaching that respects the IB's emphasis on understanding. HL Paper 3 modelling taught as a discipline, not a memorisation.

Internal Assessment

Topic ideation, exploration scope, mathematical communication, reflection — guided from first draft to final polish. Most IAs supervised here score in the top band.

Calculator strategy

TI-Nspire and Casio CG50 walkthroughs for every exam-relevant function. Calculator workflow is a graded skill at Insight Bay.

Predicted & final grades

Realistic predicted-grade modelling at start of DP2. Most students lift one full final-grade band by May exams.

Ages 15–18

SAT Math (Digital SAT)

Score-focused preparation for the College Board's adaptive Digital SAT, plus the PSAT and SAT Math Level 2 subject prep where required.

Diagnostic-first

Every programme starts with a full sectional diagnostic so we know exactly where the points are being lost — not just "algebra is weak".

Adaptive section strategy

The Digital SAT is adaptive — that changes the pacing maths. Students learn the actual scoring model, not just the content.

High-yield drills

Curated problem sets that target the 18 question patterns responsible for ~80% of the score variance above 700.

Score outcomes

Students entering at 600–680 typically lift to 740+ within 10–14 weeks. 780+ is the working target for HL-Maths students.

Ages 16–18

A-Level & AP Mathematics

A-Level Maths, Further Maths (Edexcel, AQA, OCR-A, OCR-MEI) and Advanced Placement Calculus AB & BC, Statistics, Precalculus.

Pure, Mechanics & Stats

Full coverage with weekly past-paper questions tagged by topic and difficulty. Mechanics taught alongside the physics it actually describes.

Further Maths

Complex numbers, matrices, polar coordinates, hyperbolic functions and decision maths — taught at a level that prepares for STEP/MAT, not just A* attainment.

AP Calculus

Calculus AB and BC, taught with the conceptual rigour of an engineering curriculum. Free Response section is treated as a separate, drilled discipline.

Outcomes

Most A-Level Further Maths students sit final exams in the A/A* band. AP Calculus students average a 5.

University prep

University & Admissions Support

MAT, TMUA, STEP, Oxbridge engineering interview, US engineering BSc applications. Built from direct experience navigating Russell Group and international engineering admissions.

MAT / TMUA

12-week structured programmes covering all six MAT chapters and the TMUA reasoning style. Past papers from 2015 onwards, scored to grade boundary.

STEP I, II & III

Cambridge STEP for Mathematics offers. Six-month programme, individually scoped, weekly problem critique.

Engineering interview prep

Oxbridge, Imperial, UCL and ETH-style technical interviews. Live mocks recorded for review.

Personal statement support

For STEM courses — focus on technical narrative and how to credibly write about mathematical interests.
